QED were employed to design the mechanical ventilation incorporating heating and cooling for the proposed offices that were to be located within the the under pavement vaults.

The main challeges were the restricted space for plant and equipment and how the get fresh air into and exhaust iar out of the area and also maintain the low noise levels required of this sensitive area. A heat recovery air handling unit was utilised along with careful routing of ducts and the use of attenuators.
